Welcome to EAA Chapter 327
website. Our chapter consists of about 70 members distributed among the tri-states. Our
membership includes a broad experience and knowledge base, that of flyers and
builders, from fixed wing to rotorcraft.
Meetings are the third
Thursday of each month at the U.D. Flight Center at KDBQ 7:00
p.m. Occassionally, our meeting is hosted by a local airport,
usually a member of our chapter. We have programs throughout
the year, dependent upon availability of speakers,
etc. |

February Meeting: Thursday
the
18th
Dubuque FBO
Supervisor to Speak At February 18 th EAA Meeting
“When I was
growing up on the family farm in Caledonia, MN, I would often
find myself looking up at the sky whenever something flew
over. I guess I was always fascinated by flight. A neighbor
used to give me rides in his plane.” When Gordy Vetsch served
in the military in the USAR 397th
Combat Engineers out of Onalaska, WI, he
would always volunteer for missions that involved flying in
one of “Uncle Sam’s” big choppers. After a career in the
grocery store business as a manager, he saw an opportunity to
be very close to aviation and started as Dubuque Jet Center
supervisor 10 years ago. Gordy plans on presenting details of
the FBO operation as he sees it on a daily basis. His talk
will center on the FBO where it has been as where will be
headed in the future.
As usual the
presentation will begin around 7:00 pm. There will be a
special treat of grilled brats served and the business meeting
will follow. EAA meetings are open to the public and held on
the 3rd Thursday of the month at the UD
Flight Op center at the Dubuque Regional
Airport. |
